JOIN OUR CHICAGO LIMO RIDE TO DRIVE OUT HUNGER FOOD DRIVE

There is little difference between poverty and food insecurity, and both result in the same deficiency: an inadequate and unhealthy diet. Per the World Food Programme, 795,000,000 (yes, that’s million) people in the world do not have enough food to eat. Feeding America Food Banks states that more than 42,000,000 of these people live in the Unites States and 1 out of 7 of those people live in Illinois. In Cook County alone, 1 in 6 people have food insecurity per A Just Harvest. That’s a total of 807,000 people, both adults and children, in Cook County that do not have enough proper food to eat.

This year, Going Green Limousine is excited to host our very first food drive through The Greater Depository of Chicago. Our Ride to Drive out Hunger begins November 1st and runs through until November 21st, 2016. Your chauffeur will happily accept your donations when he picks you up for your ride. You can also donate online at https://www.myfooddrive.org/drive.php?2745a58069 or drop off canned goods and other non-perishable items at our Schiller Park Office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, from 7:30am until 4:00pm or on Saturdays from 10:00am until 6:00pm.

If you are giving canned goods to your chauffeur or dropping them off at our office, we will give you Carma Cash in show of our appreciation. Carma Cash has a $5 value for the food drive and can be redeemed as a credit on a future ride of your choice. If you are donating online, you can still receive you Carma Cash, just email us at service@gogreenlimo.com with your address and we’ll send you your Carma Cash. Donating is just good CARma.
